The owners of this 1980’s era home in Atlanta’s Cobb County wanted to leave behind the dated contemporary style for a beautiful Arts and Crafts theme. Front and back porches were added to achieve this dramatic change.

Besides a new look, it was time to upgrade energy efficiency. The old, leaky aluminum windows and doors were replaced with efficient fiberglass doors and windows made by Integrity® from Marvin to boosts the home’s comfort and snugness. Front entry door was replaced with a low maintenance, energy efficient Therma-Tru ® fiberglass entry door. This stunning door features decorative glass and the ability to be stained to resemble a natural wood door. A new Integrity sliding French door opens onto the back porch.

AVI’s Heather Elsberry worked with both the architect and homeowners for several weeks to decide on options, styles, and exterior colors for the new windows. Meetings took place both onsite and at AVI’s 4,000 square foot showroom and design center in Buckhead, where many Marvin and Therma-Tru products are on display, allowing homeowners make hands-on decisions.
